Kidz Bedding Community

Here at Kidz Bedding, we are not only about making bedtime better for our children, but we also believe in giving back to the community.

As parents of kids with special needs, we have a particular focus on helping differently-abled children.

This is why one dollar from every purchase in our store goes to building inclusive, safe, and nurturing spaces for kids where they can explore, express, improve their confidence, and learn to regulate emotions and behaviors.

These special spaces are equipped with sensory tools and equipment which have been proven to help children with ADHD and autism improve their physical, social, and self-regulation skills.

Our multipurpose open learning spaces will be open to all children and not only those with disabilities.

How will our Multipurpose Open Learning Spaces Benefit Kids?

When kids are uncomfortable or in pain or when they are under or overstimulated, it can lead to dysregulation and anxiety which is can be interpreted as behavioral issues.

We can often see this with kids with ADHD, autism, and other disabilities. These children often have sensory problems so they may find that the lights are too bright, surfaces too rough, noise too loud, etc.

They may also have a hard time expressing their feelings, so they bottle them up and they come out in different ways like running around, fidgeting, squirming on their seats, or having a full-blown meltdown.

Research shows that exposing kids with sensory issues to sensory stimuli repeatedly will help them over time as the brain learns to process and react to sensory information more efficiently.

But other children too can feel overwhelmed when there’s a lot going on and may also resort to “negative” behaviors when they are tired, frustrated, or feeling down.

All kids benefit from a structured environment where they can safely explore in a stress-free atmosphere through play and fun activities. Which is why our multipurpose open learning spaces are for all children.

The structured environment and activities will help the children in the following areas:

  • Build self-esteem and confidence
  • Improve problem-solving skills
  • Increase self-control
  • Enhance creativity and imagination
  • Help kids improve their balance and coordination, and gross and fine motor skills.
